How long have you been playing basketball?

“I have been playing basketball for about five years.”

What other sports do you play at FHC?

“I don’t play any other sports at FHC.”

What is your best memory from your time playing basketball and why?

“My best memory of playing basketball was last year when the JV girls basketball team won the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament for the second year.”

What are the strengths of this year’s team?

“The biggest strength of our team this year is that we are a very close team. We all are close friends, and I think that that will help us during games because we can play together.”

What are your individual goals for this season?

“My individual goals are to become a better free throw shooter and to become a better teammate by cheering on others.”

Do you have any superstitions associated with your games?

“I have a lot of superstitions. I always have the same water bottle for gameday, I tie my shoes from left to right, and lastly, I always have some braid in my hair.

What is your favorite class this year and why?

“My favorite class this year is AP Seminar because it is very relaxed, and I can hang out with my friends.”

Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?

“The biggest influence on my athletic career is my dad because he is always pushing me to be better, and he pushes me to work my hardest.”

Olivia Oorbeck is a senior on the FHC Sports Report. She is excited about entering her second and final year on the staff. This year, she received the title of editor-in-chief alongside Lily Ohlman. Olivia was a competitive swimmer for eleven years but is part of the ski and water polo teams here at FHC. Her favorite things to do in her free time are art, makeup, or reading. She is an avid sports fan and loves learning new things about different sports. When she graduates, she hopes to go into aviation or aeronautical engineering.
