How long have you been wrestling?
“I’ve been wrestling my whole life, but I started competitively wrestling in sixth grade, so four years.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“Other than wrestling, I play volleyball and softball.”
What is your best memory from your time wrestling?
“My best memory from wrestling is probably from the end of my season last year, when I placed fifth in the state.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“This season, my goal is to make it to states and hopefully place in the top eight.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“My biggest influence is definitely my dad and my papa; they are such a big part of the reason I do wrestling, and they have taught and guided me every step of the way.”
Do you have any superstitions associated with your matches?
“I don’t really have any superstitions when it comes to my matches, but I like to get warmed up before every match and shake my dad and Papa’s hand before I go to the table to check in.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete?
“Honestly, I don’t really know many pro athletes by name, so I can’t say I have a favorite.”
Who was your favorite teacher in elementary school?
“I loved all of my elementary school teachers, but my favorites were Mrs. Gerst and Mr. Greer.”
