Celebrities are a big part of the news; you see them in commercials, on TV shows, in movies, and vouching for ads. However, have you ever seen celebrities playing cornhole? The American Cornhole League welcomes everyone including country music singer Jason Aldean and NFL legend Rob Gronkowski.

Rob Gronkowski is very vocal about his love for cornhole as he tells ESPN how he likes to make the best out of his summer.

“I actually love playing outdoor sports during the summer,” Rob said. “My favorite game out there is cornhole. I love cornhole and when you sink four shots in a row against your opponent, it’s a great feeling.”

For some, going pro through the ACL is not what they feel would be best for them, but for others, the game is a serious matter, and they love to compete.

Actors, such as David Lim, take the game a little more seriously, making rings like the ones from the Super Bowl and competing to keep them. Once they win, the ring is theirs, along with earning bragging rights and the shot to compete next year.

On The Kelly Clarkson show, David told Kelly, “On Sunday, we have Sunday Funday and we have cornhole tournaments, but it’s serious and you’re playing for a ring and when you win a ring, you keep the ring.”

As the ACL prepares the current celebrities to compete against champions of past and present cornhole tournaments, it allows them to face off  with competitors who have been working hard for years to be called the best.

David Lim practiced with champion Trey Burchfield and lost but was up for the competition.

“Tossing bags with the best cornhole player in the world, Trey Burchfield…they call him Robot for a reason. What an honor…and yes, he absolutely smoked me,” David said.

The ACL’s next tournament is at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from March 18th to the 20th. Champions from last year, such as Steven Bernacet and Bret Guy, will be in attendance and facing off to redeem their place as champions. Make sure to tune in and watch the competition on ESPN.
