Boys JV golf beats Northview and finishes in first place at the Cedar Springs JV Invite

Last Wednesday, the boys JV golf team faced the Northview Wildcats. Because of huge performances by sophomore Adam Koval and freshmen Brett Comiskey, Luke Stiles, and Matthew Taylor, who all shot in the 40s, the boys were able to take a 183-226 victory and follow that up with a first-place finish on Thursday at the Cedar Springs JV Invite.

In the Northview match, the Rangers had multiple players shoot in the 40s. Brett shot 43, Adam shot a 45, Luke shot a 48, and Matthew notched a 47. Behind some great fairway play, the Rangers easily beat Northview.

To follow up a great win on Wednesday, the boys came in first out of 18 teams at the Cedar Springs JV Invite played at Cedar Chase Golf Course. The event was a scramble, and the team shot a -6 (66). However, once again, Brett and a few other underclassmen performed outstandingly, carrying FHC to a first-place victory.

Heading into the final week of their season, the Rangers will travel to Ironwood Golf Course on Monday, May 24, against Byron Center. FHC is set to end its season the following Wednesday at Thornapple Pointe against archrival Forest Hills Northern.
