How long have you been playing?
“I have been running since Kindergarten through the Run for the Hills programs, but started taking it seriously in my freshman year.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“I do track in the spring, cross country in the fall, and I played soccer for 10 years, but I just recently quit to focus more on running.”
What is your best memory from your time playing?
“My sophomore year, when our girls’ team won the cross country D1 regionals, is definitely one of my favorite memories from cross country. I would also say any team dinner, which is what we do before conference meetings, is always fun because we all have pasta and do team bonding.”
What music do you listen to to get fired up for games?
“I don’t have anything specific, but anything that is hype and gets my mind off the meets.”
Do you have any superstitions associated with your games?
“Yes, I have a lot that I do every time before meets. I have the same dinner the night before, do the same recovery routine, and read the same book. For the day of, I eat the same breakfast and lunch, I wear the same uniform pieces, and do the same specific warmups every time.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete?
“I don’t really follow pro athletes, but I like to watch Parker Valby and see how much she has improved since her Olympic trial appearances.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“So far, I love AP Psychology and teacher cadet because I am very interested in both, and I love working with/learning about people.”
Who was your favorite teacher in elementary school?
“My favorite teacher from Pine Ridge is Mrs. Grendel, whom I had when I was in first grade.”
