How long have you been swimming?
“I’ve been swimming since I was about four, and I started swimming because I enjoyed swimming in the summer and wanted to try actually racing against other people.”
What strokes and events do you swim?
“I mostly swim freestyle and normally distance events like the 200 and 500.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“My goals this season are to place at states and possibly break a school record. I have been preparing for this season by starting club swim for the RAYS in August to get in shape before I went into high school season.”
Who has the most influence on your athletic career, and why?
“The biggest influence in my athletic career is probably my parents because they are always there for me no matter what.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“My favorite class this year would have to be Honors English 10. I have a lot of friends in that class, and Mr George is a great teacher for me and creates a fun environment for the class.”
What is your favorite set that you’ve done at practice?
“My favorite set at practice that we have done so far would have to be the forty-50s. It was tough, but I feel like it helped to improve my endurance a lot.”
What is your go-to song to listen to before a meet?
“My go-to song before a meet would have to be “Butterfly Effect” by Travis Scott.
Who is a role model to you?
“A role model to me would have to be Caeleb Dressel, as his performances in the recent Olympics inspire me to work harder in practice to get to that level of swimming.”
