Escape with yoga

I have been doing yoga classes here and there throughout my life, but in the new year, yoga has quickly become one of my favorite ways to not only exercise but also relax and unwind. Yoga provides so many great benefits to my life, and everyone should try it out at least once. I have picked up hot yoga this year, and it has changed the way I choose to spend my time while also decreasing stress.

Yoga makes a mind-body connection. This connection is one that is not experienced in many other ways except for forms of meditation.  Medically, yoga lowers stress. This can reduce anxiety and depression along with improving sleep and mood levels. For me, yoga is a great way to unwind after a stressful day.

Aside from mental aspects, yoga also possesses many physical benefits. Yoga can increase performance in other sports with multiple . Yoga can increase testosterone levels that are often unnaturally altered. It can also improve flexibility, and that can in-turn improve muscle growth. It can reduce the risk of injury, improve muscle tone and strength, help cardiovascular health and stamina, and those are just some of the perks.

The community that yoga creates has a very diverse and accepting culture. All of the instructors that I have experienced have had a very kind demeanor, and they take the time to get to know who you are. They are also accommodating to all skill levels, so do not let a lack of experience with yoga deter you from trying it out.

The yoga class offered at FHC is a great way to learn poses, and after taking it, you should be able to walk into any yoga class and fully participate while having a basic understanding of the entirety of the class. Even without taking the yoga class at FHC, there are many ways to begin your journey in yoga. One of these ways is by taking an absolute beginners class. Many studios offer this as a way to introduce people to yoga at a base level. These classes typically range from five to ten dollars, and they are a great way to try it out without committing to a membership. If you are still a bit timid to try an in-person class, there are many classes that are held over Zoom, or you can find one on YouTube for free. There is no reason that should stop you from giving the practices of yoga a try with how accessible and diverse the options are.

Trends grow with popularity, and yoga continues to capture the attention of millions. Try it soon because ultimately, your mind and body deserve the escape.
