How long have you been playing this sport?
“I’ve been playing soccer since I was six and a half years old, so for almost 12 years.”
What is your favorite memory of this sport?
“I have two favorite memories; one is my first time going to nationals with my club team in Arizona and placing 3rd, and winning the district championship last year with the high school team.”
How do you plan to improve your skill in this sport?
“I plan to train hard; not a day goes by that I don’t do something productive to get better. Whether it be from working on strength training or soccer-specific drills.”
How is the season going so far?
“So far, the season has been going better than I could ever imagine. Already having more wins than we’ve had the last two years is a great feeling. As well as being ranked #2 in the state consistently over the past month is a great feeling.”
How has playing this sport impacted your life?
“It taught me a lot of lessons, whether it be through my teammates or events that happened. Most notably was tearing my ACL back in 2019; it really taught me that hard work and having confidence in yourself are the most important aspects to have not only in soccer but in everyday life as well.”
What made you want to start playing this sport?
“My dad grew up in Europe and played professionally in Bosnia, Croatia, and Germany before moving to the United States, so he always wanted me to follow in his footsteps. He was my first coach and is still the person I look up to most today.”
