The boys varsity soccer team wins another game, ending with a score 2-0

Winning yet another game, the boys varsity soccer team continues their win streak, tallying yet another win this early in the season. The Northview Wildcats tried their hardest to defeat the Rangers but were unsuccessful. Junior Kyle Webb, along with junior Bennet Nieuwkoop, scored goals to end the game 2-0.

The tough loss against East Grand Rapids was unfortunate for the team, but Coach Paul Kramer has a goal to continue their winning streak to succeed the way they have been.

“Saturday was unfortunate, but losses happen, especially against a quality opponent like EGR,” Coach Kramer stated. “The boys played well enough to earn a result (tie or win), but in the end, it’s about keeping your composure and capitalizing on the chances you create, and we did not do that. We will learn and grow from it, and it will benefit us down the road”.

Junior Chris Dongmo is ready to continue to play and grow as a team and as a player. He has high hopes that the season will go well for the boys to get them the win they are looking forward to.

“I am excited to play with the team, continue to get better, and keep up the good season. I think the season is going pretty well so far, and we are all playing well,” Chris said.

The varsity soccer team plays next Thursday, September 15, against the Lowell Red Arrows.  In an attempt to redeem a new streak of wins, they are excited to face off against a more challenging team on our field.
