How Long Have You Been Playing Tennis?

“I have been playing tennis since I was 5 years old.”

Who is your biggest influence in your athletic career?

“My biggest influence is my older brother Nicholas, because I want to be better than him and have bragging rights.”

Do you have any superstitions that you do before matches?

“I do not have any superstitions before matches; I am not a superstitious person.”

What is your favorite class in school this year?

“This year, my favorite class is Architecture with Mr. Miedema.”

Who is your favorite athlete of all time?

“My favorite athlete of all time is Lebron James”.

Do you play any other sports at FHC?

“I do not play any other sports at FHC.”

What is your favorite memory of tennis at FHC?

“My favorite memory is playing with my brother freshman year.”

What are the strengths of this year’s team?

“The strength of this year’s team is the chemistry and the family aspect of the team.”

Matthew is a senior at Forest Hills Central and is now in his second year on the FHC Sports Report staff. He has been on the Varsity Golf Team all of his years in high school, and has been playing golf since age 5. When he isn’t playing golf, he is watching and learning about sports. He loves to hang out with friends and spend time outside. He is a huge Indiana sports fan, watching all Indiana University sports, along with Butler University. He is always continuing to learn as many things about golf as he can but he also learns about all of the big sports like football and basketball. As he enters his senior year, he is looking to make lots of memories at football games and all throughout the year. Ian is a senior entering his first year year on the FHC Sports Report Staff. He is a part of the varsity basketball team here at FHC, a sport that he is has played since 6th grade. When he’s not writing he likes to hangout with his friends, listen to music, and watch movies. An interesting fact about him is that he used to play soccer when he was younger and won the Cherry Cup. Ian is very passionate about Detroit Pistons Basketball. He went to the playoff game against the New York Knicks this past year. His favorite food is either New York styled Pizza Chicken Alfredo.
