How long have you been playing volleyball?
“I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade. I decided to pick up this sport because I needed something to kill my time, but I ended up loving the sport and continuing to high school.”
What position do you play and what does that position do?
“I am a right-side hitter. Which basically all my position does is hit. It’s honestly not a very complicated position.”
Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals that you do before your games?
“I honestly don’t have any pre-game rituals. I do give myself a pep-talk before each game, and take a couple breaths to shake off the nerves.”
Do you play any other sports for FHC?
“Aside from volleyball I play basketball and lacrosse, or at least I will try out for those sports. I have played basketball for the longest, but I would say I enjoy volleyball more.”
What’s been your favorite part about playing high school volleyball?
“High school volleyball is a blast. What I love about it is that you get to know the coaches and players very well. The coaches are really helpful and understanding as well.”
What are some strengths of the team this year?
“Some strengths of my team this season is that we all get along very well. We have gotten to know each other better which helps us work better as a team at games.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“My individual goal for this season is to work on my skills. This season would honestly be the best season to do that so I can be better for next season.”
What’s one of your favorite volleyball memories?
“My favorite memory would be the retreat we went on as a start to the season. We had a bunch of team bonding activities. And I will always remember the moment when the seniors bombed us with water balloons.”
