How long have you been bowling?
“This is my first year bowling. I wouldn’t have joined without TZ convincing me to play. Overall, I’m very glad that I joined the team.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“This year, I was the varsity volleyball team manager. I also play for the lacrosse team at FHC.”
What is your best memory from your time playing?
“So far, I’m seeing my growth when bowling. At the start of the season, my average was around 70, but now my average is 100. Also, I enjoy the atmosphere at games and practices; everyone is so welcoming.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“The girls’ team has some new faces: Cambrie Smith, Jojo Cumbo-Rachel, and myself. We all have different strengths that we can bring to the team. The girls’ team captain, Letizia Cumbo-Nacheli, has been holding the team together with her positive attitude and her drive for bowling. TZ really inspires all of us.”
What are your individual goals for this year’s season?
“I want to start averaging around 140-150 and have our team go far this season.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“Throughout my athletic career, whether it’s volleyball, lacrosse, and now bowling, my dad will always show up to my games. During volleyball and lacrosse season, he’ll film my games so I can watch back and correct my mistakes. He has always pushed me to try my best no matter what.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
“Victoria Garrick is a former Division I athlete at the University of Southern California. She was a great volleyball player and promotes having a positive mindset on and off the court as well as body positivity throughout her career.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“My favorite class this year has to be Human Anatomy with Mr. Scholten. He’s a great teacher, and I really enjoy the subject.”
