How long have you been playing tennis?
“Since I was in first grade, so about nine years.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“I am on the varsity hockey team, and I do golf for fun.”
What is your best memory from your time playing?
“When I was little, I was in a youth tennis class with all my friends. That was just a lot of fun, and it started my tennis career.”
Do you have any superstitions associated with your games?
“I put my left shoe on first, I bounce the ball six times before I serve it, and I put on my headband before I play.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“My dad, because he started my tennis career, and he would take me out [to the courts]. He got me into tennis and made sure I kept playing it.”
What are your individual goals this season?
“For regionals, I wanted to win our flight, which we did, we beat Northern. For states, I want to make it to the second day of semifinals, and hopefully the finals.”
What is your favorite class currently?
“Currently, my favorite class is Engineering Graphics. It’s pretty chill, and I get to use cool software to do stuff.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“This year, I think it’d definitely be our doubles. Every doubles flight is really good; they can pick up some of the slack from the singles. We have really good doubles people.”
