As we head into the warmer times of the year, we get to begin our spring sports season. The girls JV soccer team will be kicking off its season with a game against Caledonia High School on Friday, March 24, at 5:00.

Last spring, the girls ended their season with a great record of 14-2, dominating the field and many of their opponents. The team was able to develop really strong connections that went hand-in-hand with how they played on the field. They developed wonderful teamwork skills and it really showed because of how well they played together. Many girls will be returning from last year and so these connections will definitely take them far this year. Returning coach John Blodgett is very excited to see where the season will take him and his team.

“We have a great mix of returning players and new players. The girls have been working really hard in practice and are obviously committed to continuing to improve,” he shared. “The potential for this season is very high and I’m excited to watch the players come together as a team.”

With that being said, the girls will have fourteen games to show what they have learned and use it on the field. They will be playing very good teams this season, but they have very high potential to come out on top with many championship wins.

The ladies will be playing Grandville High School on March 28 before coming to a halt for spring break, but they will resume on April 4 against Byron Center High School.
