Gibby Wierenga, Editor-In-Chief
Gibby is a junior going into his 2nd year on staff in the Sports Report. He’s discovered his passion in sports media during this past year, whether it’s through broadcasting or writing, and is beyond excited to return to writing this year! He underwent major knee surgery in early August to repair a torn ACL and damaged meniscus, but is a baseball player when healthy. He also recently had the opportunity to job shadow Whitecaps play-by-play announcer Dan Hasty and wants to do it again. He’s a big fan of baseball trivia and loves getting quizzed on his knowledge of the sport.
