Nothing But Net

This week in the NBA, the majority of the games played at the beginning of the week would result in blowouts. However, maybe the most notable performance came from the Toronto Raptors against the Orlando Magic this past week. As the Raptors cruised by the Magic with an impressive 123-108 win, Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet played one of his best games ever and finished the game with a staggering 54 points. Along with fellow teammate Kyle Lowry contributing a triple-double on the stat sheet to secure the Raptors win. Following this win, the Raptors have now won two straight and have shown how good of a team they can be.

Also this week, the Brooklyn Nets big three had one of their most impressive wins this season against a talented Los Angeles Clippers team. Following this win, the Nets now have proven they are a powerhouse team in the Eastern Conference, and now have shown that their three superstars have the potential to close out games for their team. As the game wound down to the final minutes, the Nets found all of their success in being able to trust in stars Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden to score the ball in consecutive possessions to topple the Clippers.

Finally, this week, as the Golden State Warriors played the Dallas Mavericks, the Warriors showed yet again they could win with key players missing. Warriors star Klay Thompson remained out for the season during this game and rookie sensation James Wiseman did not play. Therefore, several other players on the Warriors stepped up and delivered again, which started with Andrew Wiggins scoring an impressive 18 points and Damion Lee contributing an important 17 points. Also, point guard and all-star Stephen Curry led the team with 28 points. Following this game, the Warriors are hoping to get into a rhythm that they have been missing and string a series of wins together.
