Boys JV lacrosse dominates Forest Hills Eastern in a 14-0 statement win

Following a strong win over the East Grand Rapids Pioneers, the boys JV lacrosse squad carried its momentum into another rivalry game against the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks this past Thursday. From the start of the game, FHC controlled the entire game. On both sides of the ball, the team was able to dictate the pace of the game.

Following the end of the first quarter, the Rangers started out hot and had already built up an impressive lead with their three sophomore attackmen leading the team. Reese Le, Jonah McConnell, and Jake Koning all played massive roles throughout this game and continued to build up their resume as a solid offensive trio for FHC. Following an impressive performance, the sophomores will undoubtedly be looked at to lead the team throughout the remainder of the season. At halftime, the boys went into the locker room with a 9-0 lead because of their ability to dominate the possession time.

As the second half began, FHC had one word on its mind to finish the game: perfection. The Rangers had upheld a shutout throughout the entire first half and looked to finish the game with that accomplishment still intact. Sophomore Michael Campbell led the defense throughout the second half, as the boys continued to cause the Hawks to turn the ball over, resulting in another half of the Rangers methodically running their offense. Following an equally impressive second half from FHC, the boys gained another win and upheld a shutout in an impressive 14-0 win.

FHC’s record now stands at 2-2 on the season. Rounding out the week for the Rangers, they will face Hartland—one of their toughest opponents of the season—on Saturday, April 17th, at home.
