What seemed to be an odd day for the Rangers also ended sadly for their hopes of tying or breaking the Oakland A’s 21-game win streak. JV Baseball was supposed to finish its doubleheader versus Byron Center, but instead ended game two in the seventh inning 5-5, which will resume Friday. On the other hand, the Bulldogs downed the Rangers 12-5, ending a 16-game winning streak for FHC that dates back to the Caledonia loss.
Although the offense wasn’t as consistent, sophomore Justin Osterhouse led the way with 3 hits in game one. Topped off by a triple, Justin’s stat line reinforces his value to the team. The ability for this Ranger squad to have multiple guys step up is perhaps its strongest suit.
FHC is now 23-2 on the season and after wrapping up Friday, they will move on to a doubleheader with Cedar Springs Saturday.
