A four-day break from gameday action for Forest Hills ended this past Thursday when they dived right back into the water versus the Jenison Wildcats. Oddly enough, the week of rest seemed to slow down the momentum gained from the crucial Portage Central victory. Forest Hills had a slower offensive performance which opened the door for Jenison to take advantage early, winning 14-7.
Junior Jessica Plantamura remained in the net, splitting her save percentage to .500 with 14 saves on 28 shots. Junior Caroline Bell broke her season record with a team-high seven steals. Continuing her stretch of consistency this season, Caroline also finished with two goals on the day. Along with Caroline, two other juniors tallied their names in the goal column. Avery Verlinde led the way with four, while Kyra Wittig scored the other one.
Trying to remain on the cusp of a record over five hundred, Forest Hills is 4-6 on the season and will end its week with district seeding games on Saturday, May 1. Then, the girls will move on to the final week of their regular season.
