Just two days after a narrow victory against Grand Ledge, Forest Hills varsity water polo faced off with its cross-town rival, East Grand Rapids. Uffourntaly for Forest Hills, EGR’s scorching offense led the way for the Pioneers to take a 16-2 victory. The lone goal scorer for Forest Hills , junior Avery Verlinde, put two shots behind the net.
A rough day defensively for FH led to goalie Jessica Plantamura being left alone with shooters right in front of the net. Plantamura still managed to deflect 17 shots out of the 33 that were on the net, giving her a 52% save percentage.
The girls are now 1-3 on the season, and they will end the week with district seeding games this Saturday, April 17th.
