The fifth week of the NFL just wrapped up. There were many exciting games with lots of fantasy football points. Here are the top 5 best-performing players of week five of the NFL.
#5. Kyren Williams (31.1): Kyren Williams had his best game of the season so far. He has been averaging 16 points per game and has had almost double that this week. Kyren rushed 14 times for 65, he caught 8 of 10 targets for another 66 yards, and had 2 touchdowns on the day. Kyren is a consistent player and expects to see shades of a top 5 running back from Kyren.
#4. AJ Barner (31.3): The most expected player on this list is AJ Barner. Barner is rostered in .9 percent of leagues and has averaged 13.2 points so far this season. Barner has emerged as a top red zone target for Sam Darnold. AJ could come out as a fantasy steal this season. As fantasy managers, keep him on your watch list as weeks go by.
#3. Emeka Egbuka (31.3): Emeka Egbuka has become one of the top candidates for the Rookie of the Year award. Egbuka has averaged 20.5 points per game so far this season and is 3rd overall for his position. In his last 2 games, Emeka has had 100-plus yards and a touchdown to go along with it. Tampa Bay has a very easy schedule besides playing the Detroit Lions in week 7 and the Buffalo Bills in week 11. Expect to see Emeka Egbuka continue his hot streak throughout the rest of the season.
#2. Jonathan Taylor (31.6): Jonathan Taylor has been playing his best football recently. In week 5, Taylor accounted for 66 yards on 17 carries with 3 touchdowns. In the Colts last 3 games, Taylor has had 17 carries, and he has had no less than 17 all season. With this much workload, expect one of two scenarios, Taylor is injured, or Taylor has the best season of his career. Jonathon has had multiple 29-plus fantasy points in games.
#1. Rico Dowdle (32.4): Another unexpected player on this list is Rico Dowdle. Over the last 5 games, Dowdle has produced less than 30 yards each game. Against a weak Miami defense, Dowdle put up huge numbers. Rico has 206 yards on 23 carries and 1 touchdown on the ground. Dowdle also had 3 receptions for 28 yards in this game. Dowdles roster percentage has gone up 48.4% in the last week. Fantasy managers are expecting to see him perform well in the weeks to come.
