How long have you been playing golf?
“I started playing golf in 6th grade, so around 5/6 years now.”
What other sports (if you play any) are you involved in at FHC?
“I did rowing my freshman year, but now I’m only involved with golf.”
What is your favorite aspect of playing golf?
“My favorite aspect of golf is all the new people and experiences I get through the sport. Playing in tournaments all around the state, I get to meet and play with people I would have never gotten to meet otherwise!”
What are your individual goals going into this season?
“My individual goals for the season are just to improve my game and have fun.”
What are your expectations for the team this year?
“My expectations for the team this year are to go to states! Although I didn’t play in regionals, our team just barely missed going to states, and I think we definitely have potential this season!”
What athlete has had the most impact on you?
“An athlete who has had the biggest impact on me, specifically for golf, has been Nelly Korda. She was the first female golfer I was introduced to, and when volunteering at the LPGA Classic at Blythefield one year, she was one of the only players to actually have a conversation with me. She’s not just a great golfer, but also a genuine person!”
What do you do to get pumped up before a match?
“To get pumped up before a match, I usually have an energy drink and listen to more upbeat music!”
Do you have any game day rituals?
“A game day ritual for me is I eat the same breakfast every morning before a match.”
