How long have you been playing volleyball?
“I’ve been playing volleyball since 6th grade, so this is my 7th year playing.”
What is your best memory from your time playing volleyball?
“My best memory from my time playing volleyball overall is the relationships I’ve developed with the girls I play with. They have become a second family and some of my favorite people to be around.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“I think a major strength we have this year is that we as a team genuinely get along. Even though we have a predominantly young team, everyone really connects well and enjoys being around each other.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“My individual goal for this season is to simply enjoy it. It’s my last year ever playing, and I really just want to soak it all in and enjoy every moment I have left with my team, especially the other seniors.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career, and why?
“The biggest influence in my athletic career would probably be my dad because over the years I’ve been playing volleyball, he’s always been there to support me through the ups and downs and never let me forget who I am both on and off the court.”
What music do you listen to to get fired up for games?
“Before games, I like to listen to rap or hip-hop to get hyped up. Some of my go-to’s are “Every Chance I Get” by DJ Khaled and “Ball w/o You” by 21 Savage.”
Do you have any superstitions associated with your games?
“Some superstitions that I have are that I have to have my shoes double knotted and the laces have to be tucked into themselves, I cannot play with my hair in a high ponytail, and I have to be chewing gum while playing.”
