The girls JV soccer team has a rough week but look to bounce back
The girls JV soccer team has had a great couple of weeks, but have fallen somewhat short in the past few days. With the ups and downs of the weather and the injuries throughout the team, the girls are persevering and working their hardest to turn their results around.
On April 22, the girls played against the Rockford JV A-team. The girls worked very hard throughout the entire game but unfortunately lost 3-0. Even though the game ended with a loss, the game was played wonderfully with a lot of devotion from all of the players.
On April 24 the girls played against Lowell. The game unfortunately ended with a 4-0 loss to the Red Arrows. With the losses added to their record in the past weeks, the girls are taking them and working hard at practice on their skills and teamwork and will hopefully add more wins soon.
Coach John Blodgett shares how proud he is of the team. “I’ve been very proud of the girls. The effort level has been through the roof,” he shares. “We’ve dealt with a lot of injuries and it requires players to play a lot of minutes and adapt to playing different positions.”
On April 26, the girls played against the Rockford JV B-team. The girls took a great 4-2 win and added it to their record. They used their teamwork and came out on top. The girls were supposed to play against Greenville in this game but they do not have a JV team.
The girls have five more scheduled games followed by OK White Conference games. The next game will be played against Unity Christian High School today, April 28. The team will have to use their skills to play as hard as possible to beat this difficult opponent. Make sure to make it out to this home game to support our girls JV team.
