When did you start tennis and why?
“I started tennis when I was four years old because many of my older friends signed up for lessons, and I didn’t want to feel left out. Also, my dad was a big fan and would play with me.”
How much time do you dedicate to tennis each week?
“I spent around an hour a night until the high school season; now I play around two to three hours per day.”
What is your favorite tennis memory?
“My favorite tennis memory is beating FHN last year at our duel match. My friends were cheering me on, and it was my first time beating this opponent in the high school season.”
Any advice for underclassmen as you play in your final high school tennis season?
“My advice would be to play as many matches as possible because match play differs from regular practice. Learning to get in your opponent’s head is just as important as improving technique.”
