FHC track and field surpasses the standard at the OK White Conference meet
The Ranger track and field team met at Lowell for the OK White Conference meet this past weekend. This meet had the Rangers face off against seven opponents from the OK White Conference and FHC did not disappoint. The mens varsity team took first place with 139 points and the womens team took third with 114.5 points.
The meet started strong with Conner Milton taking first place in the men’s 100-meter dash with a time of 11.17 seconds. Max Meadow and Evan Boucher also qualified for finals, taking fourth and eighth respectively. The women’s 100-meter dash saw Lucy Yoder qualify for finals as well, taking sixth overall with a time of 13.67 seconds.
The Rangers went above and beyond in the 4-by-200 meter relay, taking first place for both the men’s and women’s teams. The mens team was composed of Jayden Savin, Evan Boucher, Max Meadow, and Conner Milton and ran the race in 1 minute and 30.45 seconds. The womens team finished the race in 1 minute and 48.33 seconds and was run by Lucy Yoder, Gwen Lamport, Zenash Cumings, and Lauryn Gaskin.
“This meet was very challenging but brought out the best of the team, leading to a lot of PRs,” senior Evan Boucher said.
FHC’s Ethan Krampe and Parker Ludwig took second and third place in the 3200-meter race. Krampe had a time of 9 minutes and 57.35 seconds and Ludwig completed it in 10 minutes and 0.20 seconds. Clara James-Heer ran the women’s race in 11 minutes and 15.33 seconds. This time secured fourth for James-Heer in the final race.
Pole vault saw senior Matthew Burns take second with a 12-foot and 6-inch jump. Brooke Bowers led the women’s pole vault with a 12-foot and 5-inch jump to secure first.

In this meet, Rowan Cebulski (GR Christian) came first for women, and Jalen Charity (Northview) placed first for men. Grace Fitzgerald was tied in seventh for FHC.
