When did you start playing soccer and why?
“I started playing soccer when I was about five. I did not have an exact reason for why I started playing, but I think my parents were just putting me in different sports to see what I liked and what I was good at and soccer stuck with me.”
Who has made some of the biggest influences on your soccer career?
“Someone who made some of the biggest influences on my soccer career was my neighbor Mariah Otolski. She played soccer her whole life and played for FHC, so I always looked up to her and wanted to be as good as she was.”
What were some of your favorite moments in your soccer career?
“Some of my favorite moments from my soccer career were the weekend tournaments. My team and I would stay in the same hotel, and we would all hang out and play different games in the hotel. Winning districts and regionals last year was also a very important moment in my soccer career because it was the first time I got to experience that and it was extremely exciting.”
Why did you choose your jersey number?
“Last year, I was number fifteen because Mariah was fifteen when she played at FHC. This year, I am number eleven, and there is no reason behind that.”
What games are you looking forward to the most this season?
“This season, we have already played two games that I was looking forward to: Northern and Byron Center. Northern is always a rivalry, so it was very fun to play them and beat them. Last year, Byron Center beat us in PKs to win the conference, so I was excited to get some revenge this year, which we did. We ended up winning 4-0.”
