The girls varsity soccer team got back from Spring Break and hit the pitch perfectly, as the girls came back and dominated their opponent Byron Center. To open up their April schedule, the Rangers would host the Byron Center Bulldogs. This was a much-anticipated conference matchup for the girls, as they looked to pick a huge win to open up the month.
The Rangers’ offense dominated this match, as it controlled the ball for a majority of the time. Senior Theryn Hallock led the way for FHC as she went for a hat trick on the night, with two goals in the first half and one in the second. To add to that, junior Dailey Tucker scored her first goal of the season, hammering the nail into the coffin for a 4-0 victory. This is the highest-scoring game of the season for FHC, and the offense is very pleased with its wonderful performance.
“The team has worked perfectly as an overall unit, and we were able to find our open players and capitalize on their mistakes. It was good to see Theryn and Dailey come back and put the ball in the back of the net after having trouble scoring in our first couple of games,” senior Olivia Bowling explained. “Moving forward, we must come out with high energy, stay focused, and prepare for each game since we are now the team to beat this year with a target on our back.”
