Hockey drops its third straight game in a 3-0 loss to Grand Rapids Christian

Starting a new week of hockey can always be a challenge. Playing Grand Rapids Christian to start the week, FHC hockey opened up with a familiar inner-conference foe. This is now one of the last weeks left in the regular season, yet the Rangers will have a jam-packed week due to make-up games because of cancelations.

Unfortunately for FHC, the offense was nonexistent on the ice for the second straight game. In the contest, the Rangers would not be able to find the back of the net. While sophomore goalie Peter Nemmers fought hard in the net, GRC took advantage of the lackluster FHC offensive and scored three goals to take home the 3-0 victory.

The loss drops the Rangers to 10-13 on the season and 3-4 in conference play. With the loss, FHC is now tied with East Grand Rapids for third place in the Baum Division with 20 points. However, the Rangers are optimistic about their rematch against Christian on Wednesday.

“We need to be more confident with the puck and be more aware of where we are on the ice and use our teammates,” senior Sheldon Ramsey said.
