How long have you been playing basketball?
“I have been playing basketball for around 8 years now.”
What other sports (if you play any) do you participate in at FHC?
“Other sports I play at FHC are Cross Country in the fall, and I run Track and field in the spring.”
What is the best memory of your time playing basketball?
“One of my best memories from basketball is from my freshman year, and it was our last game of the season vs Northview. We had lost to them before in a close one, and we were really determined to win this one to end the season on a positive note. We ended up winning in overtime in an even closer game than before, and it is still one of my favorite games and memories to this day.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“Some strengths of the team this year is that we are really good shooters, and our 3-point percentage is usually pretty high.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“My individual goals for the season are to have a pretty good free throw percentage and to try and hustle as best I can every game. “
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“One of my biggest influences in my athletic career is Steph Curry. I really try to get my playing style like his because he is constantly moving around the court and having his defenders always be a heartbeat behind him.”
What music do you listen to to get fired up for games?
“During the 3rd quarter of the JV game, everyone on the team goes into the locker room, and we always listen to the song ‘Sticky’ and anything by Gorilla.”
Do you have any superstitions associated with your games?
“Some superstitions I have started doing over the years are wearing the same shoes to our shoot around, wearing the same hairstyle for most home games, and always getting a moment to myself before every game.”
