How long have you been swimming for?
“I’ve been swimming competitively for 12 years.”
What other sports (if you play any) do you participate in at FHC?
“I am also a part of the varsity water polo team!”
What is your best memory from your time swimming?
“One of my favorite memories from swim is my freshman year when there was a rat in the pool on our first day of practice. Our coach had to fish it out; it was so funny.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“The strength of this year’s team is that everyone is super supportive of each other! During every event, there is always someone cheering their hearts out on the side of the pool deck!”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“My goal for this season is to qualify for the state meet in the 100 backstroke again.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career, and why?
“My biggest influence for swimming is probably my parents. They always come to every meet and cheer no matter what event I swim.”
What music do you listen to to get fired up for meets?
“I try to listen to a variety of things, but most of the time it ends up being a lot of Taylor Swift.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete?
“My favorite professional athlete is Missy Franklin. She was an Olympic backstroker a couple of years ago. I’ve always looked up to her throughout my whole swimming career, and I even have her autograph.”
