Fantasy football week seven rundown

Fantasy football week seven rundown

Week seven was another very surprising week, especially from the concerns regarding the Falcons but we will get to that later. This was also a good bounce-back week for wide receivers after they struggled last week, and filled up the biggest busts list last week.

Number five: Cooper Kupp

This was a bit of a surprise after such a hot start for Kupp when he bounced back from his injury. This week had seven targets for two receptions for twenty-nine yards and only 6.9 fantasy points. It was obviously a very slow day for Kupp as he seemed clamped and locked up most of the day. But I would doubt this will linger, Kupp is a star player that will bounce back and I would not panic if I were you. He is still a top-five wide receiver and he can still win you leagues and games this year. So don’t panic and for sure keep starting him. It was just an off week this week which happens throughout the year to all stand-out players.

Number four: Raheem Mostert

This was an absolute shocker, as he was one of the best-producing fantasy running backs this whole year had an absolute stinker of a week. He only got 6.1 fantasy points, which was only 45 yards on nine attempts. I do think he will bounce back, but with the return of Devon Achane in the next week or two, Mostert’s time as an RB1-producing running back may be coming to an end. Although I think Mostert will be fine I don’t know if he will ever get back to what he was doing. Mostert will still be receiving a good amount of carries but I just don’t see him doing any break-out weeks again especially because of Achane coming back.

Number three: Josh Jacobs

This has been Jacobs’s third week below ten fantasy points, and the questions just continue to arise if he’s ever gonna get back to what he was. The production, targets and carries are there, it’s just the lack of a breakout run or yards after the catch. He just gets the bare minimum. As this week showed he had eleven attempts for 35 yards and only 5.1 fantasy points. It’s just a very slow day once again, I would still start Jaocbs but I completely understand the frustration the fantasy owners are experiencing when you start him. But I do promise he will get better and the old Jaocbs will appear and he will push through sooner rather than later. So don’t panic, hold tight and continue to start him because he is the backbone of that offense.

Number two: Calvin Ridley

It’s over for this man. He’s been on this list the most, he is a terrible fantasy wide receiver, and if you have him, trade him if you can get anything in return—or just bench him at this point. Ridley had four targets for only one reception for five yards which was only 1.5 fantasy points! For a wide receiver and a supposedly “number one target,” he has been the biggest bust of them all. I can definitely feel for anyone who has him and keeps banking on him to play well. He is just awful and won’t ever see a day over 16 points in my opinion. He just isn’t utilized by anyone, especially with the standout play of Travis Etienne. Ridley’s top-tier fantasy hopes are for sure done. Bench him immediately.

Number one: Bijan Robinson

I get he was supposedly sick but in my opinion, something weird is going on. The Falcons coaching staff did not release a statement about him and they had plenty of time to determine if he was truly sick. Nor did they let the press know anything after. With this being said, Robinson-regardless of injury-had the biggest shocker of a game. This week for fantasy, he had one attempt for three yards which was only .3 fantasy points. That’s absolutely awful and again I get “something was wrong” I bet there’s gonna be something later this week about why he didn’t play and I could very well see him still being out this week if still nothing has been released. So don’t panic, but it was a very big shocker weekend for all Robinson owners and a very frustrating one as well.

Best performer of the week: Travis Kelce

Finally—the big breakout week we have all been waiting for from Kelce. He had 13 targets for 12 receptions and 179 yards, and a touchdown for 35.9 fantasy points. Kelce will only continue to trend upwards, as he is the best fantasy tight end by miles and wow he is a must-have for fantasy. If you have him it’s a no-brainer to keep him. He’s a top-five all-around fantasy player in all categories. I wouldn’t even think about trading him. He’s a must-start every week and he just continues to dominate and win you games week in and week out.

Player to watch: Jordan Addison

After an absolutely impressive Monday night football game, Addison is the clear new number-one target with Jefferson in the mix. Although there are only one or two more weeks without Jefferson, until then he is a must-start and will continue to put up points for the next two weeks for you. This week he had ten targets for seven receptions, 123 yards and two touchdowns for 31.3 fantasy points which is absolutely unreal from the young wide receiver. So until Jefferson is back Addison is a must-have and a must start. And if he’s on the waiver wires pick him up immediately.

Another exciting week of fantasy football is in the books. Hopefully, the big-name players who ended up on the bust list can pick it back up next week and perform to their best so fantasy owners don’t need to stress.  But only time will tell as we will be back next week with the week eight rundown for fantasy football.
