How long have you been playing volleyball?
“I have been playing since sixth grade, so about five years.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“This year, I am trying both bowling and tennis.”
What is your best memory from your time playing volleyball?
“Getting my first kill because it made me feel that I had proved to myself that all my perseverance and hard work had paid off.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“My dad because he pushes me to be the best athlete I can be, and he is a huge role model when it comes to sports.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete?
“Simone Biles because she’s been someone I have looked up to, and she shows perseverance.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“To be more confident in myself and not get so frustrated. Another goal is to improve my vertical jump and my swing when I hit.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“We are a lot closer as a team this year, and we work really well together; we do everything as a team and not as an individual.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“Choir because there’s never a dull moment in Mr. Ivory’s class.”
