How long have you been playing volleyball?
“I have been playing volleyball since the sixth grade. I started during a spring camp at Central Woodlands, and then I tried out for the seventh grade team after because I loved the camp so much.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“I don’t play any other sports at FHC.”
What is your best memory from your time playing volleyball?
“One of my best volleyball memories was from last year on the freshmen team. We were at a tournament for the entire day, and one of our last games was against EGR; it was very close for the first two sets, and then finally, we won the third set.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“One influential person in my volleyball career is my middle school coach, Coach Udell, because she was my first-ever coach for volleyball.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete?
“I don’t have a favorite professional athlete.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“One individual goal I have for this season is to get closer to my team and have more fun with everybody. Volleyball requires a lot of trust and communication, and being close with your teammates helps you be a better player on the court.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“I think the JV team this year has many strengths, including our very talented outside hitters, and also everyone has a nice personality, which makes it easier to bond with everyone.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“This year, my favorite class is either choir with Mr. Ivory because his classroom is a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings, and he makes everything so fun, or Honors English 10 with Mr. George because he does not make the class boring and he talks about Taylor Swift.”
