How long have you been swimming?
“I have been swimming since around when I was six for Gold Fish Swim School, but competitively, only since sixth grade on RAYS for one year, then I swam on the middle school team after for seventh and eighth grade.”
Who has impacted your swimming career the most?
“I would say some of the seniors like Gavin Cai and Ben Rogala. They have made me see how good and fast people can swim and have just made swimming more fun and make me want to go to practice each day.”
What is your biggest goal for this season and why?
“A short-term goal I have right now is to swim under 27 seconds in the 50 free, but a goal I would like to get by the end of the season is to swim the 50 in under 26 seconds. I want to get these goals to get better and just prove that I am trying hard and really want to get good times.”
Do you have any pre-meet rituals?
“No, I wouldn’t really say that I have any pre-meet rituals right now, but I would say that I like to listen to music to get me pumped up.”
What is your favorite memory from swimming?
“Definitely when our whole team went to Battle GR this season and went axe throwing. It was the first time I had ever gone axe throwing and it was so much fun. I will remember that for a while.”
