How long have you been swimming?
“I’ve been in the pool as long as I can remember, but I started competitively in 3rd grade.”
Who has impacted your swimming career the most?
” I think Michael Phelps was a big idol for me growing up, but I also love my swim coach from 3rd grade to 7th grade, Coach Brian. Brian was a big motivation and made swimming fun for me while improving my stroke. ”
What is your biggest goal for this season and why?
“My goal is to get into the MISCA meet in my 100 breaststroke race because it’s an achievable goal that would be really good for me. ”
Do you have any pre-meet rituals?
“I have a playlist that I blast in my AirPods before. It has all the early 2000s pop hits and my favorite songs. I also make sure to stretch out and warm up in the pool. I make sure I drink a lot of water too. ”
What is your favorite memory from swimming?
” In 5th grade, me and my swim friend Kait were in the pool and I wondered if she could hear me when I screamed underwater so I asked her to do it and she didn’t hear me so I pushed her head underwater and she came back up with water shooting out of her nose. We call it ‘the nasal cleanse;’ I had to keep stopping in the water because my eyes were watering from laughing so hard.”
