How long have you been on the team?

“I have been on the ski team for four years, two of which as a captain.”

What is your favorite part of being on the team?

“My favorite part of being on the team is the people. Thanks to the captains during my freshman and sophomore years I didn’t feel like a bullied freshman. Instead, I was welcomed right into their varsity team and have had four positive years since.”

Who has influenced your career the most?

“The two people who have influenced my career the most are Thomas and Scott Carano. they switched me from snowboarding in eighth grade and I never looked back. The McLean and Werkema families have also helped me tremendously bringing me along on family vacations and taking me in for a week so I can ski out west. I owe my journey to these three families.”

What is your favorite memory from this sport?

“My favorite ski team memory is when one year we were at Caberfae and our coaches made us go to bed at 10 pm and senior Braden Lubben wasn’t having it so he started making cat noises in the hallway and texted our coach that the cat was too loud and he couldn’t sleep. So our coach went on a hunt for a cat that didn’t exist while Braden went back to bed.”
