Girls JV soccer easily defeats rival FHE 8-0

The girls JV soccer team pulled off yet another 8-0 win over Forest Hills Eastern, swiftly defeating one of its Forest Hills rivals. Sophomore captain Frankie Sutton continues to lead her team down the path of success, motivating the girls to do their best in every game.

Frankie scored five goals, freshman Madi Evans scored two, and sophomore Mackenzie Wintrich scored one. The Rangers knew they had to come out hard in this game, and keep the Hawks from creating any forward moves.

“This game went pretty well, our passing as a team was the best it’s been all year,” sophomore Gracie Vermeulen said.

The ball movement and decisions were great all throughout the field, but especially on the back line. Sophomore center backs Audrey Kind and Katelyn Breaugh kept the ball moving and never gave Eastern’s forwards the chance to steal the ball.

The next game for the girls is Thursday, May 13th at 5:00 Pm at home. The Rangers will be facing off against Grand Rapids Christian in the first game of the OK White conference tournament.
