Girls JV soccer defeats Northview 8-0

On March 30th, the girls JV soccer team took on the Northview Wildcats. Sophomore captain Frankie Sutton once again led her team to victory, scoring five out of the eight goals and defeating the Wildcats 8-0.

The girls came out fast and were ready to attack their opponent, wanting to take them down as soon as possible. The other three goals of the game came from sophomore Mackenzie Wintrich and freshman Claire Goward. Mackenzie scored two and Claire got her first goal of the season.

“Some players who stood out were the wingers Audrey Kind and Zenash Cumings,” freshman Skylar Tierney said.

Some players stepped into new positions on Friday, and they all worked together to get the job done. Freshman goalie Zariah Knuff played on the field, and sophomore defender Gracie Vermeulen played as a center forward.

The next game for the girls is against their biggest rival, Forest Hills Northern. The game will be at Northern on Wednesday, May 5th at 4:00 PM.
