What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“I think some strengths of this year’s team are that everyone has been very consistently training and putting in the hard work at practices and during workouts, which will give our team a competitive edge and ensure that we are ready to perform when race day comes.”
What are your individual goals for this year’s season?

“The biggest influence in my athletic career is my sister Ivy. She has always been a role model to me since she is so strong and persistent in any sport that she does.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?
“My favorite professional athlete is Parker Valby. She is an American track and field and cross country athlete, a six-time NCAA champion, and the current NCAA record holder for the indoor 5000m, outdoor 5000m, and outdoor 10000m. This season, our girls’ team has been struggling with many injuries, including myself, which has led to lots of cross-training. Parker Valby has been an inspiration for us because she only runs approximately three days a week and cross-trains the remaining days. This cross-training includes the arc trainer, elliptical, and aqua jogging, which are all things that have become a part of some individuals on the team routine. Athletes, such as Parker Valby, give us hope that we can still be successful despite our setbacks.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“My favorite class this year is Yearbook because I have lots of friends in that class, and it’s very fun going to sporting events together and taking pictures.”
