The NFL starts with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on September 5th, so I will be predicting each division winner.
AFC NORTH: The Baltimore Ravens are my pick to win the division. They have many weapons including quarterback Lamar Jackson and tight end Mark Andrews. They had a big free-agent pick-up with running back Derrick Henry. Last year they drafted Zay Flowers a wide receiver and he proved to be a great pick last season. They just drafted corner Nate Wiggins from Clemson. He played very well at Clemson and hopefully, he can do the same with the Ravens.
AFC EAST: My prediction to win this division is Miami Dolphins. They are coming off a great season and hoping to do the same this season. The Buffalo Bills recently lost Stefon Diggs which hurt them a lot. They also lost safety Jordan Poyer and other key players. Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa are going to keep being a great dynamic duo and lead the Dolphins to a division championship win.
AFC SOUTH: The Houston Texans are my favorite to win this division because they added many star players in the offseason. Joe Mixon is one of the players they added, he had a great few seasons with the Bengals and should continue with the Texans. On the other side of the ball, they added Danielle Hunter who is one of the best defensive ends in the league. They have a great quarterback CJ Stroud and an amazing wide receiver core with Stefon Diggs who they just recently added, Nico Collins who had an amazing year last season, and Tank Dell a very underrated player with a lot of potential to be a star in the future.
AFC WEST: The Kansas City Chiefs are by far the best team in this division. None of the other teams in this division have any chance of winning; they just don’t have the stars to do so. On defense, they have Chris Jones, who is a great defensive tackle. On offense, they have quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wide receiver Rashee Rice, and recently cut Kadarius Toney who played terribly all last year and “sold” against the Lions and other teams.
NFC NORTH: The Detroit Lions by far are my pick to win. This offseason they upgraded their secondary which last year was by far their weakness by adding Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr in the draft. They also acquired Carlton Davis. Coaches also say that wide receiver Jameson Williams will put on a show and have a great year. The Lions arguably have the best running back room in the NFL with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
NFL EAST: The Philadelphia Eagles are going to win this division. This offseason they got running back Saquon Barkley and will continue to have a very good offense with key players Brown, Jalen Hurts, and Devonta Smith. On defense, they also added C.J. Gardner Johnson, who was on the team 2 years ago.
NFC SOUTH: This isn’t the greatest division but I believe the Falcons will win. They just added many stars on defense including Matt Judon, Jessie Bates, and Justin Simmons. On offense, they added quarterback Kirk Cousins. Drake London and Kyle Pitts are key players for this team that will be Cousin’s best targets. Bijan Robinson will have a breakout year with new coaches who will prioritize him more in this offense than last year.
NFC WEST: The 49ers will win this division again. Running back Christian McCaffrey will have another great year if he doesn’t get hurt. They recently re-signed wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Brandon and Deebo Samuel are a great duo to watch out for as well as tight end George Kittle. On the other side of the ball, Nick Bosa will be a threat to other teams’ offenses. Brock Purdy will hope to have a great year keeping his interceptions low.
