As we know, it’s just one whole week till playoffs. There is much to unpack on who is a bust and should be sat and who is on the rise to propel you to a strong playoff run.
Top Three worst busts of week thirteen
Number three: Bijan Robinson
This was a week of running back letdowns, so pointing out three was very hard. To start the list, Bijan Robinson only had eighteen carries for 53 yards and zero touchdowns for only 10.9 fantasy points. This is just not an impressive showing at all. The fact that he can’t find the red zone against the New York Jets is very sad, and also, the offense is just not good; it’s very inconsistent, and that alters Robinson’s value in the offense a lot. I do not like Bijan Robinson going forward. He is a week-to-week player and is not a good playoff fantasy running back. He has not produced well all year, and I would bet the rest of the season will be the same. So, with this being said, I would put him at flex or bench him for the rest of the year.
Number two: Jahmyr Gibbs
Jahmyr Gibbs is unreliable because the red zone carries have been going to Montgomery. With that being said, Gibb’s yards are going to come on the ground, and as of right now, they don’t run the ball that much. I like Gibbs, but their pass game is too lethal right now, and Montgomery is getting all touchdowns, so I wouldn’t say I like Gibbs’s value. Gibbs only had eight carries for 60 yards and 6.4 points. This is just not a running back one or two material, and I would bench or move him to a flex.
Number one: Austin Ekeler
Austin Ekeler has been arguably the biggest bust of the year. He has done nothing and is barely putting up points; he has busted three out of nine and has only boomed three times, which is not very good. This week, he had fourteen carries for eighteen yards and only 4.7 yards. That’s awful. It is sad that they give him the ball so much, and he can’t do anything with it against the Patriots. I don’t know how I feel about him for the rest of the year. I feel like he will be very uncertain, depending on the team he plays and if they decide to use him. I don’t feel comfortable with him anymore for the rest of the fantasy season.
Best performer of the week: Deebo Samuel
Deebo completely put the Niners on his back. He had four targets for four receptions, 116 yards, and two touchdowns for 35.8 fantasy points. If you have Deebo, he is a must-start for the rest of the year and needs to be in the lineup. He is not just used out of the backfield as a running back but also is a very dynamic piece in the passing game. He is exploding at the right time and is a great playoff player who will only go up. I love Deebo right now and mark my word, he will win you playoff games and the league.
Player to watch: Trey Mcbride
Mcrbide had nine targets for eight receptions, 89 yards for one touchdown, and 22.9 fantasy points. He is a must-start for the rest of the year. Along with that, he is a top-three fantasy tight end right now and will continue to be. He is super trustworthy and is Kyler’s favorite target to throw to. He is only rising up and will be the main guy in Arioxna for the rest of the year.
This week posed many questions, especially for the running back position, which was super unreliable. I expect it to pick up, but the running backs have been back and forth this year; I don’t know what questions and obstacles they will face for the rest of the year heading into playoffs.
