Another exciting week before the playoffs has passed—some people are starting to hit the panic button with players and making last-second trades that will help propel them into the playoffs.
Top three words busts of week eleven
Number three: Austin Ekeler
Ekeler just hasn’t been the same this year. After his injury, he just hasn’t come back to his old self yet and it’s starting to alarm fantasy owners. He has turned into a week-to-week producer. He’s either really good or super bad and it’s starting to get scary. Ekeler had ten rushes for 64 yards for only 7.0 fantasy points. The zero touchdowns and only ten carries are awful. A first-round draft pick should have to double those numbers. This is very poor and I would consider trading Ekeler for someone else while you can if you’re looking to make that playoff push, but there are a lot of questions surrounding him right now and I am not quite too sure about him anymore.
Number two: Stefon Diggs
I am a little concerned with Digs’ contribution to this new offense. If they are going continue to utilize him like they did his last game with their new offensive coordinator, he’s going to be more of a go-to guy and more of a deep threat which is way more inconsistent. Digs only had eight targets for four receptions and twenty-seven yards for 6.7 fantasy points. This is from minimal touches and no touchdowns because he disappeared in the red zone. That is super surprising. He is struggling heavily and needs to pick his game up. I would temper expectations for the rest of the year as I think he will be hit or miss the rest of the year. He is sliding down my list as a top receiver.
Number one: Derrick Henry
Henry has officially fallen off and he’s so hit or miss now. It depends on who he is playing and if he has time to run against good teams, he gets killed. He’s slow and the good defensive teams shoot the gaps too quickly for him to pounce outside but if it’s a weaker team he can get them to the holes quicker. Henry only had ten attempts for thirty-eight yards for 5.4 fantasy points and no touchdowns. They can’t seem to get him going in the red zone and he doesn’t break out carries for big yards, which is a big problem. He doesn’t turn his runs into anything. I do not like him at all and I would trade him right away.
Top performer: Trevor Lawrence
Trevor had a great bounceback week after getting manhandled by the 49ers and he played stellar this week. He had 262 yards through the air, two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns for 32.18 points. He is a great quarterback who will continue to ball out and play at a good tempo. I like him in his fantasy playoff run. I believe he will make some damage, serve as a good starter in fantasy and get you points.
Player to watch: Tank Dell
Dell has emerged as an elite wide receiver for the Texans and a favorite target for Stroud. This week Dell had eight receptions, 149 yards, and a touchdown for 28.9 fantasy points It has been great week for the young kid. He is a flex player right now but could easily move up to a wide receiver especially in the games ahead. He is an emerging stud and getting up there as one of the best fantasy wide receivers.
This has been another exciting week with lots of ups and downs as we get closer to the playoffs. I hope my information helps you succeed next week.
