Name: Eli Lipke
Grade: Junior
Sport: Varsity soccer
How long have you been playing soccer?
“I have been playing soccer ever since I could walk.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“I am a punter/place-kicker on varsity football, and I play varsity hockey.”
What is your best memory from your time playing soccer?
“Winning districts my freshman year. It was my first big trophy winning, and it has stuck with me tightly ever since. To be honest, it probably always will.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“We have a very complete starting 11; every one that starts is very solid. Our bench is short but very talented as well. Lastly, we have a very good bond and connection, which is what helped us get through adversity in tough games as a team.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“To be in the all-conference and all-region teams.”
What music do you listen to to get fired up for games?
“I listen to Ramen, OJ, and Jumpin’, which are my go-to songs before my games.”
Who is your favorite professional athlete?
“My favorite professional athlete is not a soccer player, but a hockey player: Sidney Crosby. He is a great role model and a great representation of how you should act on and off the ice or field. Also, Cosby is a great leader and competitor; I would love to take after that.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
I love Sports Report. I like how I can share the views of student-athletes and promote the teams at our school while also talking about sports.
