How long have you been running cross country?
“Five years, since 7th grade.”
What other sports do you play at FHC?
“I run track and field in the spring.”
What is your best memory from your time running cross country?
“Summer practices: running eight or more miles with the team. They are always memorable and full of good vibes.”
What are the strengths of this year’s team?
“We’ve got a solid group of juniors to build around and lots of talent all around.”
What are your individual goals for this season?
“I’m looking to break the 16-minute barrier over the 5k distance, and I’m willing to do all the little things in order to make that happen.”
Who is the biggest influence in your athletic career and why?
“Sam Yeager [former FHC runner] is the biggest influence because of the leadership skills he had. He was a senior during my freshman year, and it’s always what I’ve thought of when I think of a leader on this team.”
Do you have any superstitions associated with your meets?
“Before a meet, I always stretch, roll out on a foam roller, and do everything I can to help my legs feel fresh on race day.”
What is your favorite class this year and why?
“WHAP [AP world history] is a ton of fun, and I’m excited for Age of Empires. As a scout, I oversee the productivity of our nation, ‘Robinheim'”
