The varsity girls golf team took third overall in the Greenville Invitational at Brookside Golf Club on Friday. Senior Maddie Knoor led the team once again with a score of 87. Freshman Skyler Tierney also contributed with a score of 89.

Brookside is a difficult golf course and the Rangers were able to respond very quickly.

“We adjusted very well to a tough golf course today,” head coach Paul Teneyck said.

After a couple of rough tournaments for the Rangers, it was great to see all of their practice payoff.

“We all played very well and had the right mindset during the tournament which helped us succeed,” Maddie said.

The girls’ next event is the Grand Rapids Christian Jamboree at Cascade Hills Country Club. The Rangers will attempt to build on their success from this event.
