Boys varsity tennis takes a clean sweep against Lowell 8-0 to continue their winning streak
Yesterday afternoon, the boys took on the Lowell Arrows in their match. Coming off of a win against Greenville, the team pulled off a clean sweep. All four singles and all four doubles teams won their matches, giving the Rangers a final outcome of 8-0.
Although it was tough for doubles partners senior Ben Koning and junior Nick Yasenchak to close out each of their games, the boys helped out their team by winning their sets 6-0 and 6-3. Freshman Nico Notarnicola also had a tough opponent that took him into three sets, but he came out on top.
The Rangers have kept a good record so far, going into their next match at 6-0-2 for the season. The team continues to keep their winning streak alive, but the boys will be going up against tough competition such as Forest Hills Northern, Midland Dow, and Seaholm in upcoming matches.
The team’s next match is this afternoon, September 10th, home against the East Grand Rapids Pioneers.
