FHC’s cross country team finishes 2nd and 3rd at Allendale
The FHC cross country team traveled to Allendale this past weekend for the Allendale Falcon invite, and they left their previous performance behind as they did great. The boy’s team finished in 3rd place by a slim margin, while the girl’s team finished in 2nd.
“Overall, it was an outstanding day for us,” head coach Ryan Schipper said, “we had a real confidence booster with a lot of personal records set by everyone.”
The boys took off first as they had the best day, so far, this season. The top finishers for the guys were junior Sam Yeager, seniors Kyle James-Heer and Tanner Wooden, and sophomore Ethan Krampe. The guys finished just 9 points shy as a team from 2nd place but are looking forward to a better performance this Wednesday.
The girls took off next, and kept their momentum rolling with another great performance individually and as a team. The top finishers for the lady Rangers were freshmen Peyton Ludwig and Clara James-Heer, and senior Whitney Currie. The girls had 8 personal records set on Saturday and are looking towards better performances as the schedule winds down.
The next matchup for the Rangers will be this Wednesday, October 8th. They will meet up again with the OK White conference as they travel to Byron Center.
