How long have you been wrestling?
“I have been wrestling since I was in the 4th grade, so in total, 9 years of wrestling.”
What are three fun facts about you?
“I won every tournament my freshman year, my largest and second-largest medals are participation medals, and I have never wrestled that same weight class in high school moving from 140 to 150, 189, and finally senior year 171 lbs.”
How has wrestling impacted your life?
“I feel the way wrestling has impacted me is by giving me more grit. It has given me this grit by making me push myself as hard as I can, even on days when all I want to do is rest.”
What made you start playing the sport?
“I started wrestling in the fourth grade because my mom signed me up. My older brother also at the time was wrestling in high school.”
What is your go-to meal before a game?
“My go-to meal before wrestling depends on how much time I have before a competition. If I have 24 hours, it’s homemade chicken fried rice as it helps keep my energy up all day. If I have to wrestle soon, then I will have a granola bar and an apple or banana so that I have something in me.”
